Dusk

My favorite time of the day is dusk. I realize that many would say oh how pessimistic. If I were optimistic the natural selection would be dawn.
The dawning of a new day shows a positive outlook.
Indeed it does. I like dusk because the weather is cooler so are people.
Most are slowing down from the rat-race that is life.
I find people are more apt to have a conversation beyond "hi" as they brisk by onto the next item on their already saturated to-do-list.
It could be that it is just me. My heart is relaxed.
My brain ready to take stuff in without having to solve something.
Just enjoy the now.

A brisk walk at the lake, the Sun was setting, my frame of mind instantaneously changed.
I stopped, sighed and the rest of my walk was slow and a satisfying.
